One of our most challenging repair jobs
was a once-beautiful man's gold ring holding a genuine stone carved scarab.
Unfortunately, the ring had been
severely damaged - actually, this very rare ring had been accidentally
run over by a car and was hardly recognizable as a fine piece of
jewellery.
After many hours of painstaking labour,
and meticulous craftsmanship, the result was nothing short of miraculous! If you didn't know where to look, you would swear that
it was in the original condition. The stone scarab was again displayed in the unique, original manner.
Our customer was so pleased with the
result that with his permission, I've reproduced his letter of thanks below:
"Dear Mr Lee,
I am writing to thank you and your
team of goldsmiths for the exceptional restoration of a family
heirloom which had been completely squashed by a car tire.
The ring contained a 3,300 year old
Eygptian stone scarab in a flip over bezel. Although the scarab
sustained a crack, your craftsmen repaired the stone and completely
rebuilt the ring. Even the enamel work is perfect.
While this project was extremely
difficult, your company took on the project with zeal. The
enthusiasm of your team is evident in the outcome. Thank you for

family.
